Directly on the historic Via Sacra, nestled in the picturesque oasis of the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve, we - Andreas Winter and Steffi Winter - have created a true paradise for horses and riders. In this idyllic setting, we are passionate about breeding high-quality Austrian dressage horses (warmbloods) that meet the highest standards.
With understanding, love and passion we breed modern riding horses with top sires and dams of outstanding quality.

Breedingmanagement
Insemination, birth monitoring and rearing. We are happy to take on the rearing of your young horse – mares and stallions are welcome here.
Riding
On request, differences between horse and rider are gladly improved on our part as a result of a corrective ride.
Young horse training
Our attention with young horses is mainly focused on the development and unfolding of the individual potential. Within this framework, the classical training scale is taken into account step by step.
Therapy
The first water guidance system/waterhorsewalker of its kind in Austria for efficient therapy and muscle-building work. We also offer magnetic field therapy, inhalation therapy and much more.
Professional, loving care for your horse is a matter of course for us.

Review of the year 2024
A year full of highs and challenges draws to a close...
February: We took part in the stallion days with Greatest Showman W (2021;Galaxy/Quantensprung/Belissimo M) & started the year motivated.
March: Two great awards for Andreas Winter: The honorary award in gold as breeder for Black Pearl W (Bundessieger 2023) & the state honorary award in silver for warmblood breeding.
May: Once again we were the venue for the Lower Austrian Horse Days. Our Bella Vista W (Dimaggio Black/Zack/Belissimo M) took the national reserve victory. In the video: Our young Antonette W (2021; De Niro Gold/Lord Carnaby PrH./Davignon I).
August: We hosted the Lower Austrian Horse Festival for the 10th time. Dark Temptation W and Buttercup W took 1st and 3rd place in the 4-year-old riding horses and Vino W secured 3rd place in the 3-year-olds. In the video: Vino W, who has found a new owner in the meantime.
September: At the Federal Championship, we achieved 3rd place in the 3-year-old riding horse class with Vino W, Bella Swan W placed in LM competitions and Buttercup W, full sister by Eyecatcher W, became national reserve champion of the 4-year-old dressage mares. There were also birthday celebrations...
October: With Bella Swan W (Vito Corleone/Blue Hors Zack/Belissimo M) we took part in one of Austria's biggest horse fairs "Apropos Pferd".
December: For the first time we were part of the Amadeus Horse Indoors in Salzburg as part of the AWÖ sales presentation. We spontaneously presented not only our mare Bella Swan W, but also our Buttercup W (Escamillo PrH/Belissimo M/Kastelan). However, both horses were presented by outside riders, as our riders were unable to attend due to illness. Both mares made for a great end to the year and once again a special thank you to Nicola Baur-Rona, Kerstin Kronaus and Petra Radner, who spontaneously agreed to show our horses.
At the end of the year, we would like to thank all our customers, partners, supporters and friends for the great moments and cooperation. We look back gratefully on 2024 & start highly motivated into 2025.

National Championship 2024
3rd place 3-year-old riding horses
This mare impresses with her enormous scope and potential that is far from exhausted.
On Sunday, September 22, 2024, our “Leo” (Vivaldos/Fiderstar/ Weltruhm) took 3rd place in the 3-year-old riding horses. He presented himself confidently and was also able to convince the outside riders.

Stud Winter would like to express its sincere thanks to all participants, visitors, helpers and sponsors.
Stud Winter was able to achieve several placements at the Lower Austrian Horse Festival 2024, including Dark Tempation W & Buttercup W (both horses bred by Andreas Winter) taking 1st and 3rd place in the 4-year-old riding horses. We also secured 3rd place in the 3-year-old riding horses with Vino W (also bred by Andreas Winter).
We congratulate all winners and placed riders and are already looking forward to next year.
Invitation to the Lower Austrian Horse Festival 2024
(with Impressions from the year 2023)
Sunday, August 25, 2024 is Noriker Day, with the central stud book registration, riding horse tests, foal championships and a sociability test for all breeds. A horse blessing with Father Alois Hüger will also take place in a festive setting.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Altenmarkt brass band, among others.

National Championship 2023 - dressage mares: The patent black mare “Black Pearl W” by For Gold/Quantensprung, bred by Andreas Winter, was able to secure the Bundessieg of the 4-year-old dressage mares thanks to her outstanding basic gaits and elegant conformation.

Lower Austrian Horse Festival 2023 - Dressage: Buttercup W & Eyecatcher W: The two full siblings by Escamillo x Belissimo M from Gestüt Winter were crowned the winners of the three and four-year-old classes at the Lower Austrian Riding Horse Championships in Altenmarkt (Lower Austria).
